Typical Serbian meza!!!

Meze is a selection of small dishes served at the beginning of all large-scale meals.

In Serbia meze can include cheese, kajmak (clotted cream), smokes ham, kulen (flavoured sausage), suvo meso (dried salted smoked meat), sliced hard-boiled eggs.

Meze is served primarily at consumption of wine or rakia.

  1. What a delicious way to begin a meal! Would prsut be included as well? What are your favourite rakjas to serve with this? WE tried many in Croatia and loved the ones flavoured with local berries and cherries, etc.

  2. Prsut is on the first place. There are different kinds of prsuta-all good.We like plum rakia on the first pleace and pear and apple rakia also.

  3. Uao! With that beggining, the rest of meal has to be very good. A kiss from Spain and have a good summer!
