Food, food, food...:)

Last week I was for the first time in the municipality Bojnik  http://www.bojnik.rs/  located in southern Serbia - some 20 km west from city Leskovac. I was very happy when I saw how people in this region of Serbia are very friendly and convivial, and that they have good food :). I had to make some photos and to share them with you. 

I tried different dishes... :)

Red roasted peppers, ajvar, fresh cabbage salad with cucumber, fresh tomato salad...

Grilled-meat is a very famous in this area of Serbia.

Grilled sausage - the best I've eaten; Burger; White hat;
Leskovacki donuts;

With red wine of course !!!

This was a big joy for me!!!

Prženice - French toast

Prženice are excellent food for breakfast.

Dry bread cut into slices. 

In bowl, whisk 2-3 eggs and salt it to the taste. Slices of bread put in the eggs and cook in deep hot oil. Remove when they become golden brown.

Serve with cheese, sour cream, jam, honey...
